Privacy Policy
Mission: Annapolis · Effective August 24, 2026
Mission: Annapolis is a family goal tracker. It is designed for use by a student and their parents. This policy explains exactly what the app stores and where.
What the app stores
- Goal and activity data: goals, runs, workouts, chores, school assignments and grades, nutrition habit check-offs, cadet program progress, and calendar events entered in the app.
- Parent account details: a parent's first name, a PIN (stored only as a salted bcrypt hash), an optional email address used solely to send chore notifications, and the reward text the parent sets.
- Health data (optional): if Apple Health access is granted, the app reads steps, walking and running distance, workouts, and Activity ring completion to display progress. Health details stay on the device. The only health-related value included in family sync is the list of recent days on which Activity rings were closed, used for the weekly progress meter.
- Location (optional): if location reminders are set up, the chosen coordinates are stored on the device and registered with iOS to trigger the reminder. Location is never transmitted to our servers and the app does not track movement.
Where it is stored
Data lives on the device. If the family sync feature is enabled, the data above is synced to a hosted database (Supabase, United States) under a random family code. No account, email address, or real name is required for the student. Family data is accessible only to someone who has the family code, and parent actions additionally require that parent's PIN.
What we do not do
- No advertising, no analytics trackers, no data sale, and no sharing with third parties.
- No social features and no contact with anyone outside the family.
- Parent email addresses are used only to deliver chore notifications and never for marketing.
Children's privacy
The app is intended to be set up and supervised by a parent or guardian. The student's profile requires no account, no email address, and no personal identifiers beyond what the family chooses to enter. A parent can delete all family data at any time (see below).
Deleting your data
Deleting the app removes all on-device data. To remove synced family data, generate a new family code in Settings (which orphans the old data) or contact us and we will delete the family record on request.
